Dreamlab participated in the ARES’ 15th edition Availability, Reliability and Security Conference which took place from August 25th to 28th 2020 as an all-digital conference. We were represented by our security researcher Sarka Pekarova who joined the panel discussion on «Future Challenges for SOCs», as well as cybersecurity expert Mischa Obrecht and Kolab System CTO Jeroen van Meeuwen, who led a successful session on Reputation Management Techniques for IP addresses, domains, and mail.
The interactions of human and artificial intelligence in cyber security presents a very rich and interesting playing field for researchers of many different disciplines. During ARES we had the opportunity to hear about cutting edge research with relations to cyber security, as well as obtaining insights into projects such as, for instance, SAPPAN. SAPPAN aims to create a sharing system for privacy preserving attack neutralization, spanning many organizations at once, thus harnessing the power of many different sources of information. With such exciting discussions on the menu, Dreamlab was in turn more than happy to share some insights about its recent advances in the field of utilizing IP-reputation to the benefit of a secure society in the cyber dimension.
