In an article in CyberScape Africa, a quarterly magazine from Cyber in Africa dedicated to the development of cyber security in the region, our Security Consultant Sarka Pekarova shared some insights from her experience at BSides Cairo after her "Techniques of the Social Engineering Pirate Queen" presentation back in February 2019.
The article highlights her opinions on the importance of bringing the human element into the realm of security models. "If on every layer we find a human element, then we need to start treating security holistically, where our users are our assets and treated as part of our threat landscape with their own vulnerabilities that we need to count and know how to remediate, like with any other asset in our network".
