(ISC)² Cybersecurity Webinar: How the Pandemic Changed Social Engineering

Our Security Consultant and Social Engineer Expert Sarka Pekarova participated in (ISC)² Cybersecurity Experiences Series: One Year After The COVID-19 Outbreak discussing “How the Pandemic Changed Social Engineering; From Attackers to Defenders”.

An extremely insightful webinar that highlighted how humans can be a security asset and the key role they play in ensuring the security of computers and networks,. Sarka gave invaluable insight into understanding threat actors and shared recommendations on how to build better strategies with human assets in mind to combat anything from insider threats to external malicious actors.

«Understanding our human threat landscape is as important as understanding the technologies we use » said Sarka. “The role and value of people has been overlooked. Human assets need to be supported by properly configured technology, together with correct processes, procedures and policies. The pandemic has given us the opportunity to understand that people – employees, are truly the strongest link.»
