Dreamlab Technologies has been awarded a research opportunity and partnership with the EU Horizon 2020 funded project SAPPAN (Sharing and Automation for Privacy Preserving Attack Neutralisation).
The project aims to develop a platform for data sharing to enable privacy preserving cyber incident response and recovery. Participants are providing cyber data intelligence – utilising advanced data analytics and machine learning - or consuming it. The project is part of the European Union's Horizon 2020 objective to tackle cybersecurity issues in the EU.
The platform aims to provide solutions for public international institutions and multinational companies who want to enrich their situational awareness by sharing cyber security intelligence as well as solutions for small and midsize companies enabling them to outsource intrusion detection [1].
As part of Dreamlab's audit services, our blue-red teaming and adversary simulation provides SAPPAN with insights about the attacker's perspective while designing intrusion detection models and visualisations for incident responders. Through this project, we are able to develop novel and more accurate adversary simulation tools that allow us to perform experiments in the cyber dimension in order to gain knowledge about the dynamics of firewalls and human interaction under cyber-attacks. It provides us with the opportunity to increment our capabilities on IDS and SOC solutions with SAPPAN's federated IDS approach.
